Il tema dell’Abitare è uno dei temi più ricorrenti in architettura: ciclicamente diventa protagonista del dibattito contemporaneo dopo periodi di assenza e trascuratezza. Oggi la nuova emergenza abitativa, da un lato, e la grande quantità di residenziale invenduto sul mercato, dall’altro, hanno concretizzato una rinnovata attenzione e la “casa” sta tornando a essere un tema centrale del dibattito architettonico

Patrimonio

Ormai invisibile ai romani, la bellezza di Roma è stata svenduta a frotte di turisti che non ne colgono l’essenza e la usurano impoverendone l’economia. Infatti, sebbene Roma racconti più di 3000 di anni di storia e sia testimonianza vivente dell’architettura e dell’arte dall’età Augustea al Medioevo, dal Rinascimento al Barocco fino al periodo Umbertino e al Novecento, sembriamo incapaci di cogliere le opportunità di ennesima rinascita che offre la Capitale. Ci interroghiamo allora, in questo numero, su come fare per riuscire a valorizzare il patrimonio unico della nostra città, nella consapevolezza che innovazione e storia costituiscono il binomio fondamentale su cui lavorare per rendere Roma in grado di competere con le capitali europee, annullandone l’atmosfera obsoleta e provinciale con cui viene letta all’estero, che pure ci ha portato grande fama, valorizzandone la storia e il capitale archeologico e architettonico, rafforzandone l’identità culturale

I parametri considerati per definire la qualità della vita di una città, pubblicati annualmente nel Top Quality of Living Ranking dalla società di consulenza Mercer, sono 39 e vengono organizzati in 10 categorie che valutano la situazione politica locale, l’economia, la libertà personale, la vivibilità dell’ambiente urbano. Tra questi indicatori giocano un ruolo importante lo stato e l’efficienza delle strutture relative all’educazione, alla sanità, allo sport e al tempo libero; ed è sulle potenzialità di progetto di queste strutture, sugli investimenti in atto per il loro recupero e la loro realizzazione, sugli esempi virtuosi di architetture realizzate, che abbiamo articolato il focus di questo numero 115 di AR

Architecture on demand. New scenarios for the design project and the construction industry

The paper examines how the relationship between the project and the matter is changing under the impact of digitalization and the productive and economical emerging paradigms, both in terms of process and product. The evolutionary path of the relationship between industrialization and architecture allow us to draw a picture which, starting from the first experience of standardizing prefabrication, lead to results increasingly oriented towards the personalization of realizations (Industrial Mass Customization). The essay proposes a critical reading of most recent and advanced technological innovations, focusing on the applications of 3d printing additive technology to the architecture and to the new scenarios of research opened for the project and the construction industry

Architecture with reused objects. Technological reused and transformation processes of disused objects

La problemática ambiental de los residuos sólidos se encuentralatente y forma parte de la actualidad no solo a nivel local sinotambién a nivel internacional. La tasa de generación de residuosprevista a nivel mundial será de un 44% superior para el año2025. Frente a esta problemática ambiental, organizaciones yarquitectos de diferentes partes del mundo han comenzado uncamino de ensayo/experimentación con los residuos sólidos parapoder otorgarles una segunda vida a productos y/o materialesdesechados. El objetivo del artículo es analizar diversoscasos de estudio que, bajo procesos simples de reutilización ytransformación, reinsertan los residuos sólidos en nuevos ciclos.En particular, los mismos se reinsertan en ciclos constructivosdando lugar a una arquitectura con un enfoque sustentable,partiendo de los tres pilares clásicos: económico, social yambiental. La metodología de investigación implementada se habasado en recopilar los casos de estudio. Se hizo hincapié en losprocesos de reutilización y transformación como en la arquitecturaresultante. La discusión de la investigación en curso se ha basadoen el análisis de las variables localización, comitente, residuos ycomponentes construidos.The environmental problem of solid waste is latent and is part of the present not only locally but also internationally. The rate of waste generation forecast worldwide will be 44% higher by the 2025. Faced with this environmental problem, organizations and architects from different parts of the world have begun a trial / experimentation path with solid waste in order to grant a second life to discarded products and / or materials. The aim of the article is to analyse various case studies that under simple processes of reuse and transformation reinsert solid waste into new cycles. In particular, they are reintegrated in construction cycles giving rise to an architecture with a sustainable approach, based on the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social and environmental. The research methodology implemented was based on collecting the case studies. Emphasis was placed on reuse and transformation processes as well as the resulting architecture. The discussion of the ongoing research was based on the analysis of the variables location, client, residues and built components. In conclusion, the article states that despite being built under the cradle-to-cradle concept, in the cases analysed it would be necessary to evaluate their technical performance, their environmental performance, and their environmental, economic and social impact.Fil: Molina, Magdalena. Eco Power Parks. Energy Development of Regional Parks

The research is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach and focuses on the territorial consolidation and development of environmentally sensitive areas, like regional parks. Parks are places where ecosystem elements are preserved and improved, but also vast ranges characterized by various human activities and interaction levels. Within this context, the disciplinary contribution focuses on energy infrastructure – with the aim of identifying the features of the Micro Local Network – as a potential tool for the development and reconstruction of marginal settlements. The study investigates interactions of pieces of territory, vocations and energy sustainability of the context, providing classes, systems and technological components typical of the Micro Local Network. The results propose a pre-arranged, expandable and changeable model, as decisional support instrument for carrying out an energy sustainable infrastructure consistent with the environmental characteristics of the context, and compatible with landscape protection goals
